Decontamination Equipment

The FOam BAsed DeCON-G foaming module, has been specially designed for equipment decontamination (e.g. CSA, pumps) with the decon additives developed for this purpose.

The system is suitable for mobile use in drip pans or roll-off containers. For stationary use (e.g. in Ro/Ro- decontamination) the components are permanently installed. The assembly costs incurred for this are offered separately.

The G-foaming module is a compact unit measuring 700x450x650 mm (LxWxH), equipped with feet and 2 carrying handles.

The whole unit is covered with stainless steel sheet.

The module has a pneumatically driven diaphragm pump that generates the necessary operating pressure. The water supply can and should therefore be practically pressureless. Care must be taken to ensure that the water supplied is at least of drinking water quality.

The air supply for driving the compressor and foaming can be provided by an external compressor (offered separately) or other air sources.

Furthermore, the module has 2 separately adjustable, water-hydraulically driven proportional proportioning mixers. The first proportioner is used for metering the surfactant additive. The proportioning rate can be infinitely adjusted manually between 0.5 and 4 %. The second proportioner is used to meter the decon additive.

A proportioning rate of between 4.0 % and 20 % can be set manually on this mixer. This is used to add the appropriate Decon-G additive. The decon foam outlet is set to a flow rate of 40 l/min and can be connected with a 10 m PVC hose DN 16 via D-couplings or with a reel module. A special nozzle that can be shut off (mouthpiece diameter 7 mm) is used to dispense the decon foam. The second outlet is designed for water delivery (rinsing), e.g. a D-jet pipe can be connected here. The control module # 600333, which is offered separately, is connected to the foaming module by 24-pin connecting cable (# 101697).

The power supply is provided by the control module.
